The Best Day of the Summer is Back!

Come out and be a part of Spikeball history at the 7th annual SummerSpike roundnet tournament. Enjoy the boardwalk, ride the Cyclone, get a hot dog from the original Nathan's and of course... play the sport you love! SummerSpike is the East Grand Slam and will have some of the best teams in the country representing. There will be divisions for all skill levels and an after party sponsored by Landshark Lager that you won't want to miss!

What makes this year special?

SummerSpike will be hosted in MCU park, home of the Brooklyn Cyclones, and right in the center of the action in Coney Island.

This year we're focused on making it more than just a tournament. Sure, you're here to compete, but we also want you to have the opportunity to hang out, have an unforgettable time and make new friends. So, we're looking to fill the day with live music, side games and lots of good food and drinks. To accommodate as many players and spectators as possible there will be two sessions of play. This means you'll have some down time to spectate/heckle, check out the attractions or just kick back and enjoy a cold beverage.

We're also adding a Coed division that will take place on Sunday hosted by Long Island Roundnet in, you guessed it, Long Island. More Sunday Coed details to be announced later. You can participate in just Saturday, just Sunday, or both!

Pool Play
Pool play will consist of all teams playing every other team in their pool once. Pools will be made by the SRA with the intention of having even pools based on rankings and past tournament results.

FAQs

What if it's raining?
We play rain or shine! We've had some crazy weather in the past and it's always been a blast. Unless you hear otherwise, the tournament is on.

How many people can I have on my team?
All the teams are composed of just two players to make it fair when endurance becomes a factor in the later rounds.

Can I play in multiple divisions?
On Saturday you must choose one division due to the format of the tournament.

I'm new to Spikeball. Is this event for me?
Absolutely! We have divisions for every type of player, whether you're one of the elite teams in the nation or just starting out in the sport.

Why isn't the tournament on the beach?
We loved having SummerSpike on the sand. Unfortunately, as the tournament grew and gained more exposure we no longer had the ability to get the permits at a price that worked.

What is your refund policy?
Membership fees are non-refundable. Event registration fees can be refunded as long as requests are made in writing at least 5 business days prior to the event. After that time, event registration fees will not be refunded for any circumstance. To request a refund, contact spikeballnyc@gmail.com.
