STS Divisions

The Spikeball Tournament Series has divisions for all ages and skill levels. Whether it is your 1st tournament or 100th, there is a spot for you! Divisions are based on the USA Roundnet player rating so please verify your player skill level to ensure you sign up for the appropriate division.

Youth

There are some really talented youth players and can't wait to see them compete in their own division. Players must be 14 or under on the day of the tournament.

High School

With high school clubs popping up all over the country, we are super excited to give them their own division! Players must be 18 or under on the day of the tournament.

Beginner 2.0

Playing in your first roundnet tournament? Still mastering the fundamentals? If you want to play against other teams who are still learning the sport this is the division for you. It will be the only division with a "gentleman's serve" rule and the vibe will be a relaxed, fun environment.

Intermediate 3.0

If you are newer or still honing your skills this is the division for you. It is intended for people who want competition but are still developing their game.

Women's Intermediate 3.0

Women are welcome to play in any division. If you are a newer lady baller or still honing your skills, this is the division for you. We will organize the women's division based on skill level and number of registrations in a way to get the most competitive and evenly matched games whether you're a pro or new to the scene.

Women’s Advanced 4.0+

Women are welcome to play in any division. This division will include some top women's teams as well as other lady ballers who want to test their skills against great competition. We will organize the women's division based on skill level and number of registrations in a way to get the most competitive and evenly matched games whether you're a pro or new to the scene.

Advanced 4.0

This division is for those teams that have refined skills but are not ready to compete to qualify for Premier. Played with No Hit Zone.

Contender 4.5

Think you're good? Prove it. This division will include some solid teams from across the country as well as newer players who want to test their skills against great competition.

  • In North America, Top 4 teams non-premier in Contender division at Challengers, top 6 non-premier teams at Majors, and top 8 non-premier teams at The Spikeball Championship.
  • In the EU, Top 8 non-premier teams teams in Contender division at Challengers. We recognize that there are fewer opportunites to earn premier in the EU and are therefore extending the placements that earn it.

Premier 5.0

This is the top division - players must qualify to be eligible to play!

Coed Intermediate 2.0-3.0

If you are newer or still honing your skills this is the division for you. It is intended for people who want competition but are still developing their game. Use the average player ratings between both teammates to estimate where you fit.

Coed Advanced 4.0+

This division will include some solid teams from across the country competing for points & Coed Pro!

*Divisions offered may vary by event, All divisions must have at least 8 teams. If not, they may be combined, teams can be moved to another division or refunded.
