SummerSpike 2019 - Pro and Advanced Division Previews

Pro Division Written by Dylan Fogarty Check your calendars, folks. No, your eyes do not deceive you, it actually is August and we are currently in the final month of the 2019 SRA Regular Season. And what a treat we get for the first weekend in August - 2019 Summerspike. Nearly every year, players from around the globe find their way to New York for the largest tournament, and event, of the season. SRA Nashville Grand Slam - Tournament Preview

Written by Fredric Hinkle. Pro Division The Nationals Preview is upon us and the Pro Division is loaded. With a #1 C/S vs #2 Boysterous rematch possibly on the table, everyone is excited. This weekend in Nashville there are eight teams competing in the Pro Division and 20 teams competing in the Premier Division. Every team in Pro except Origin Hullabaloo has a pitcher win this year. Frontrunners WySpike Disco Fever (Garret Hornok & Cooper Brown) Garret and Cooper got 3rd place in...

SRA Charleston Tour Stop - Premier and Advanced Previews

Note: Solomon Berry wrote these previews. Premier Division Frontrunners Trippy Lizard (Andrew Card & Clark Marshall) On paper, Trippy Lizard is the clear favorite tomorrow. Of the teams signed up, they have had the best results and the most consistent results, and that is not expected to change in Charleston. Since their win in Indianapolis and fourth place finish in Boston, Clark teamed up with PJ Showalter to win the Grand Rapids tour stop as “Skidoosh”. Between Andrew’s incredible defense, Clark’s often dominant serves, and their combined experience, anything less than second would be a clear disappointment.  Schweppes (Jesse Showalter & Micah Zimmerman) Shweppes is fresh off a BIG result in Grand Rapids where they made the finals and took second to...
