Chico Spikes Returns at This Weekend's Chicago Grand Slam

Chicago is the home of Spikeball Inc., so it is fitting that the SRA Tour Series will conclude there this weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, teams from all over the nation will head to Montrose Beach to compete in the fifth annual Chicago Grand Slam. As this is the last SRA event before Regionals and Nationals, all divisions are expected to feature strong competition. Premier Division In the four years since the Chicago Grand Slam’s inception, only two teams have taken home first place. Top Roundnet Teams Shipping Up to Boston for SRA East Tour Grand Slam

After seven straight weekends of tournaments, the Spikeball Roundnet Association (SRA) Tour was inactive for the first two weekends of August. However, the next two weekends will feature two of the biggest and most competitive tournaments of the year: The Boston and Chicago Grand Slams. We’re starting in Boston, which became the Grand Slam location in 2016 and has not dropped below 100 teams in attendance since, with 108 teams coming out to Pope John Paul Park tomorrow (and an additional 16 on Sunday for Coed play). The 2018 Boston Grand Slam will feature the second largest Premier Division of the year with 21-teams (only bested by 28 teams at SummerSpike). There is also a hefty 48-team Advanced Division and...

SRA Open Power Rankings - August 2018

This is the latest edition of the Open Power Rankings for the 2018 season. Panelists then rated teams on a scale of 1-10, with the best team on the contender list given a “10” and the worst given a “1”. The highest and lowest score for each team was removed before averaging the final scores. Teams removed due to ineligibility: L.E.D. The SRA East Tour Returns to the Beach: Jersey Shore Tour Stop Preview and Poll Results

New Jersey’s first-ever Tour Stop will see over 150 teams play on just the second beach ever used for an East Tour Stop; the only other being Coney Island. Headlining the 62-team Advanced Division is the seemingly untouchable and #1 ranked Cisek/Showalter (Tyler Cisek and Peter Jon Showalter). At this time last season the pair had lost the Boston Grand Slam at the hands of Anchored LI. This season, though, Cisek and Showalter remain undefeated. With few top competitors in attendance, fans can expect to see Cisek/Showalter earn their eighth set of pitchers tomorrow. #3 Hilltop Spikes (Max Model and Cole Model) is poised to be Cisek/Showalter's fiercest challenger in New Jersey. As we saw at SummerSpike 2018, both Model...
